The Space Coast Predators are proud to announce a new initiative that allows fans to begin recycling during Predators home games at Sebastian River High Stadium.
The "We Care" campaign also encourages Predators' personnel and volunteers to throw their recyclables into bins. The team is looking to become a leader in recycling efforts here in our region. On average each year, an office can use 50,000 soda cans and 20,000 water bottles.
"We believe that we can help our fans understand the role that each of us plays in helping our environment," said Space Coast Predators' owner and head coach Jim Eldridge. "The best way for us to influence our fans and the community is to lead by example."
Recycling bins will be set up throughout the football stadium, including the Predators' locker room to encourage fans, players and coaches to develop consistent recycling habits.
By launching this program, the Predators hope to educate and promote recycling and caring for the environment throughout the surrounding counties and beyond.
"We all need to think about the game plan to increase recycling, because it's the right thing to do, and it will save us money in the long run," Predators' owner Jim Eldridge said.
